You will need a "virtual MIDI cable" to do this, and loopMIDI is the one that works nicely with Reaper for Windows 7 and Windows 8, which is based on information in another thread, since I do not have a Windows machine at present. SampleTank 3 and Twin 2 (FabFilter Software Instruments) were the VSTi virtual instruments in Reaper, and there was a NOTION 4 Piano in the NOTION Score, along with a single NOTION External MIDI staff which output MIDI to Reaper to play the two VSTi virtual instruments hosted in Reaper. I did an experiment and got it working with Reaper v4.73 as the ReWire 2 host controller and NOTION 4 as the ReWire 2 slave. I apologize for not replying sooner, but this is something you can do with Reaper and NOTION running in 64-bit mode-since SampleTank 3 is a 64-bit virtual instrument-and it is not so difficult to do this.

I would be grateful if you have any more information. I understand the video but you say "although there is a way to use NOTION 4/5 External MIDI staves to control VSTi virtual instruments hosted in the DAW application" and that is what I want to do with Sampletank 3.
